Marriott Hotel Rape Victim Blamed Unmercifully
After centuries of struggling for equality women are once again dealt a punishing blow. I had thought we were beginning to move past the whole “victim to blame” thing when it came to sexual crimes against minors and women. Apparently not.
Apparently a woman who fails to remove her vagina before leaving the safety of her home is automatically held liable for any crime committed against her. Or at least, so the Marriott hotel has said when it issued this defense in response to a woman who was violently assaulted in their parking garage, “failed to exercise due care for her own safety and the safety of her children and proper use of her senses and facilities…”
